Boat2Bag – Turning Discarded Boats into Bags

Boat2Bag is a Bern-based circular economy initiative that transforms discarded inflatable boats from Swiss rivers into durable, water-resistant bags and accessories.

Founded in Bern, Boat2Bag gives discarded PVC boats a second life instead of allowing valuable materials to become waste.
Our bags are created from materials that have already had a first life on the river. Each product connects everyday use with the story of the Aare and Switzerland's waterways.
We also transform discarded advertising materials into new products, creating practical alternatives to conventional materials while supporting local and inclusive production partnerships.
Boat2Bag is part of Bern's growing circular economy ecosystem, bringing together sustainability, design, social impact and local collaboration.
